Studio + Retail
In 2016, Newegg, a $2.5b online retailer, needed a major overhaul of its video and content production. A 5000 sq ft space had been reserved for content but the final build had yet to be completed.
I created a new studio concept, working closely with the contractor to design a new physical layout including the rooms, sets, paint and the overall studio planning.
Creating Newegg Studios required a content and production strategy to target important categories as well as staying on top of important trends like VR, eSports, smart home and more.
MAKING BUDGETS WORK
Where the previous bids came in over $500k, the final studio was delivered for a fraction of the price with vastly higher output and quality.

INCREASED PRODUCTION
Launched Jan 1, 2016, production increased from one video a week to one video a day. Additionally, the studio produced hundreds of photos for editorial, social marketing, launch events, and much more.
SUCCESS
With hundreds of videos produced and strong vendor partnerships, Newegg Studios proved that real content operations can be a massive strategic advantage and financial success in online retail.
